Senior Bucks
Entry #1
Evaluator comments:
This buck appears to be a strong, well-muscled buck with a desirable length of neck and body and a strong topline. He is wide and strong in that front-end assembly. He is in incurving at the thigh with well-angulated stifles and his angularity from the side is excellent. He would improve with greater increasing width back through the hips and pins and more width in the escutcheon. For his advantage in general appearance with more desirable length of body and levelness of rump as well as his strength in feet and legs, he will be closest to ideal in this class.

Entry #2
Evaluator comments:
Here we have a buck with good depth and length of body who would benefit from added length to his neck as well as length and levelness to the rump for more balance and dairy strength. He is also strong in breed character about the head with a full muzzle, width between the eyes, depth of jaw and convex nose. In feet and legs I would like to see his toes more properly placed straight forward from a front view and more width between the hocks in the rear by being more perpendicular from hock to pastern. More width through the crops would add to his smoothness of blending and balance more properly with his excellent width through the rear and well rounded escutcheon.

Entry #3
Evaluator comments:
Here we have a buck showing a lot of dairy strength with his long neck blending well in to high, prominent withers and full crops. As we view him over the top we can see that spring of rib continue back through the ribs into a wide rump from hips to pins. He is showing good width in the chest floor which increases through the rear in a high and wide escutcheon. He is clean and wide between the thighs carrying that width down through the hocks. In feet and legs I would like to see him more perpendicular from hock to pastern, but he should be commended for his well angulated stifles and incurving thigh. In breed character he appears to be have the convex nose and strength in that depth and width of jaw where more evaluation could be given with a clearer view.

Entry #4
Evaluator comments:
This senior buck is excelling in width from the front and in overall body capacity as well having nice length of body and width increasing through the barrel. He would improve in general appearance with a neck more properly set into the withers and more smoothly blended which would help to give him a more upstanding appearance as we view him from the side, improving his angularity as well. In topline I would like to see him more level over the loin with greater levelness from thurl to thurl and a more well-angulated stifle. He is showing desirable dairy strength with strong front legs and clean, incurving thighs.

Evaluator comments:
This buck is excelling in breed character about the ears with his excellent length and bell-shaped ears. He is showing good length of neck with high, prominent withers and a strong topline. I would like to see him more level from hips to pins to add to that general appearance and overall balance. In looking at feet and legs, I believe he is stronger than what these photos may appear to show. His front legs are strong and straight from the front and while the outside front leg is set forward, you can see that the other is straight and properly set. His rear legs are well angulated from the side, with cleanly molded hocks and excellent width between the thighs. He is smoothly blended from wide crops in to well sprung ribs that widen back through the barrel.
