This feminine doe excels in general appearance and dairy character and completes the package with a well shaped and well attached mammary. When we think of dairy strength we think of that leanness and length of neck flowing into a long and increasingly deep body with excellent depth of flank, good length of bone and flat, flinty bone comprising strong legs and a structure that carries that system well. This doe has all of those components and adds femininity and breed character as well. Her upright head carriage with a neck blending well into high and prominent withers in turn blending into well sprung ribs open to the rear and continuing with width through the hips and pins. She would improve with more strength in her shoulder attachment which would help maintain that width more correctly in her front legs when viewed from the front. In mammary she is wide and well rounded through her attachment in the rear with a strong medial and well rounded and balanced udder halves. Teat shape, size and placement is nearly ideal. Fore udder extension and attachment is excellent as is capacity for her size. She will be closest to ideal in this group of senior milking does.

Here we have a doe that excels in body capacity with her excellent length of body which also adds to her dairy strength. She also shows excellent width in the front which carries through in increasing measure through the rear. This upstanding doe shows upright head carriage and desirable length of neck blending well into prominent withers. Her strength in front end assembly can be seen in her set to the front legs with consistent width when viewed from the front and proper placement of straight legs when viewed from the side. She has good depth of heart increasing back to the flank. Her rear legs are well angulated and incurving at the thigh. Her width over the top increases through the loin and hips into wide set pins. From the rear I would like to see a more rounded, u-shaped escutcheon. Her strength in feet and legs can also be viewed from the rear with consistent width between hocks and feet, being perpendicular from hock to pastern. In mammary I would like to see more width and higher attachment in the rear. The udder is well-balanced with good length and strength of medial. Fore udder extension appears sufficient with improvement to consistency of attachment across the width of the fore udder. Udder does not appear to be at capacity but appears well balanced to size of doe. Her breed character is commendable.

This black doe is showing good body capacity with her length of body, deep flank and width over the top. Her neck is long and lean but not quite as correct in the transition into the withers and chest where she would benefit from greater smoothness of blending. She shows good width in the chest but could use some improvement to the front end assembly with straighter front legs when viewed from the side and tighter in the toe. In general appearance, I would like to see her more level over the loin. In mammary she is a capacious doe with good strength of medial and nice size and shape of teats. The coloration here is more difficult to distinguish but overall her fore udder extension and lateral attachment appears strong. She would benefit from higher attachment in the rear but carries that mammary well above the hock and perhaps the shadow there bars a better view of that escutcheon. The consistent width and well rounded mammary help to offset some points she gives up in general appearance.
