This 8 year old Nubian buck must be commended for his dairy strength, as evidenced by his flat, flinty bone, angularity, openness and spring of rib, and a strong yet refined bone structure. He has a powerful front end, showing strength in the brisket and depth in the heart girth. He has a capacious barrel supported by a strong back with a level chine, full crops and a wide, flat loin. When viewed from the front and side, his front legs are straight and strong. When viewed from the rear and top, his rear legs are wide apart and straight, with a high, wide escutcheon. His pasterns are adequately strong given his age, and all feet and toes pointing forward.

Based on these observations, I would suggest breeding this buck to does that need improvements in overall dairy strength, body capacity, or strength in feet and legs. Unless those specific traits are the desired outcome of the breeding, I would suggest avoiding using him on does that lack length and levelness of the rump or angularity in the rear legs from stifle to hock.

This senior buck shows tremendous depth and width throughout. When viewed from the front he has a deep and wide chest, in side profile a deep heart girth and barrel supported by a straight, strong back can be seen, and when viewed from behind and above, his depth of rib into the flank, hips and thurls, rear legs and escutcheon are evident. While a powerful presence, he still maintains the dairy qualities of openness, angularity and freedom from coarseness and excess tissue. From all views, he stands on strong and straight legs, strong pasterns, and feet pointed forward with tight toes; from the side, his rear legs are well-angulated from stifle to hock.

Based on these observations, I would suggest using this buck on does that need improvements in strength of the feet and legs, strength in the front end assembly or increased body capacity, especially in the heart girth. Unless those specific traits are the desired the outcome of the breeding, I would suggest avoiding using him on does that lack length of body or length and levelness of the rump.

This powerful senior buck is to be commended for his general appearance in terms of smoothness of blending, strength, upstandingness, and length of body. His withers are prominent above the shoulders, are slightly higher than the hips and blend smoothly in shoulder blades and point of shoulder. His chest is deep and wide, and heart girth deep. His long body is supported by a strong, flat back with a level chine, full crops and wide, flat loin; his rump appears to be of good length. In all views, strong, straight legs that are squarely placed under the body are evident.  The rear legs have strong pasterns, are well-angulated from stifle to hock with good width when viewed from the rear.

Based on these observations, I would suggest breeding this buck to does that need improvements in strength of the rear feet and legs, length of body, or bone mass. Unless one or more of those specific traits are the desired outcome of the breeding, I would suggest avoiding using him on does that lack tightness of toe and strength in the front pasterns or levelness of the rump.
