Evaluator comments: I'd like to see a bit less ear control and also a longer ear on this doe for 5th generation. I'd like to see the neck a bit longer to match the tremendous length of body this doe has. The neck is nicely set into the shoulder assembly, with a very correct angle to the shoulder. The foreleg is set correctly under the wither and she has a very nice set of fore legs. Being straight from both the front and side and wide apart. With very correct hoof shape and length of pastern. She has a very correct front end assembly when viewed from the front and from over the top. Showing a lot of shape to the fore rib and full in the crops. She has a very correct barrel with a nice spring of rib and increasing depth into the flank. The rump could be longer from hip to pin and also needs to be wider and more level from thurl to thurl. When looking over the top you can see how much wider in the shoulder than in the hips she is. Preferably we want those widths the same, or the hip wider. She has a nice clean escutcheon with nicely placed teats, however the rear pic her legs are spread much to far and its causing it to look like the rear leg turns out, however in her front shot, you can see her rear legs in a more natural width and she does not turn out so bad. This doe has a lot of power and substance in her front end and I would probably focus on breeding her to a buck with exceptional head and breed characteristics as well as dairy strength and correct wide rumps.

Evaluator comments: Very correct head and ear on this doe. Her neck could be slightly longer and blend a bit more smoothly into the wither. The shoulder blade is a bit more vertical than is desired and the foreleg is set a bit too far forward. The canon bone on the foreleg is a bit short, compared to the rear legs. She has a very nice balance of length of rump, femur and canon on the rear leg compared to the fore leg. The front end is fairly balanced when viewed from the front, however I would like to see the chest floor deeper and have more shape of fore rib and fullness at the point of elbow. Looking at the feet and pasterns the rear pasterns are a bit better than the fore. Early and frequent hoof trimming can greatly improve the quality of the feet and pasterns as animals grow quickly when young. The rump looks to have nice width and levelness from thurl to thurl and she has a nice open escutcheon, very clean thighs and nice flat bone in the rear leg indicating correct dairy strength. When looking at buck selection, finding a buck with outstanding stature, front end assembly and feet would be important.

Evaluator comments: Very correct shoulder assembly and shoulder angle from the side, also nice placement of the foreleg under the withers. Would like to see the neck a bit longer, however it does blend smoothly into the withers. Nice balance to the length of bone in the legs on this doe, I would like to see the forelegs a bit cleaner about the knee and the pasterns and fetlocks to be a bit more correct in placement and length. The rear leg, pastern and hoof is much more correct. She has adequate stature and a nice straight back, however her rump is quite short from hip to pin. She does have nice width to the rump from thurl to thurl and nice wide loin. Her escutcheon is free excess tissue, however I would like to see it a bit wider at the top of the escutcheon. The rear legs rear view are fairly straight and well apart. Over the top she shows a correct shape and fullness to the fore ribs, and plenty of width back through the rump. She is a very balanced doe and when selecting a buck definitely feet and legs should be a priority.

Evaluator comments: I feel like these pictures may not be the most accurate depiction of this doe, however I will try to give feedback as I see it. She has a nice long neck and a long bone pattern throughout. Neck blends nicely into the shoulder. In this photo her shoulder looks really straight, and she appears to be open at the point of elbow. She is fairly shallow in the heart girth and lacks depth to the chest floor. From the front view she does appear to be more narrow at the top of the shoulder than the bottom. She has a lot of length of body, however she appears a bit weak in the chine and at this stage she is quite “hip high”. I'd also like to see the rump longer from hip to pin. She has nice width and shape to the escutcheon. The rear legs could be a bit more perpendicular from the hock to the hoof. Over the top she shows a nice wide loin and a nice shape to her barrel. For buck selection, I would look to use a correct front end assembly and long level rumps.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a very correct front end assembly, with the foreleg placed correctly under the wither. She has a nice length of neck, however it could blend a bit more smoothly into the withers. She is also correct in the front end when viewed from the front, with nice depth of chest floor. She could be a little stronger in the chine but she may be in an awkward growth phase. The length of canon on the foreleg is correct, however the rear canon could be a bit longer. She is nice and balanced and square when viewed from the rear. I can't fully see the escutcheon however she is nicely out curving in the thigh. Over the top this doe is very strong, with ideal body shape, from the shoulder through to the hip. This doe has lots of strength and bone, so would probably be looking to use a buck with strong stature and dairy strengths.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a nice long neck that blends smoothly into the withers. She has a sharp wither. She has a lot of length of body and depth into the flank, however she is quite shallow and narrow in the chest. She is also narrow at the top of the shoulder. The canon bones are short both fore and rear. Possibly accentuated by the angle of the side profile picture , she appears to be very downhill to the withers. In the head she lacks depth to the lower jaw and I would like to see the ear longer and more bell shaped. This has a very nice escutcheon, being very clean and open. A lot of width between the hocks and the rear legs are nice and perpendicular when viewed from the rear. She has nice width to the rump, however it is very short from hip to pin. She also has a nice spring to the rib. When selecting a buck, look for one with extreme stature, dairy strength and correct front end assembly.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a nice side profile, she is correct in stature with the withers taller than the hips. She is very strong in the back, however would like to see the rump longer from hips to pins. The foreleg is placed properly under the wither and she has the correct angle to the shoulder, I would just like to see the chest floor a bit deeper which would make her heart girth deeper as well at the point of elbow. She has a very correct bone pattern throughout, with clean flat leg bones. Very nice hoof shape, and length of pasterns. From the rear this doe shows lots of width between the hocks and she is clean and open into the escutcheon, however I would like to see the top of the escutcheon more arch shaped . Perhaps the rear legs are set too far apart, however she does appear to turn in at the hocks slightly. Over the top she shows correct body shape, being full in the foreribs and correct width from the loin into the hips. This is a very balanced doe, and could be bred to many different types of buck. Probably look for correct feet and legs, depth of heart and dairy strength.

Evaluator comments: This is a very correct doe in all aspects. She is very balanced, feminine and shows nice dairy strength. She has a long lean neck, I think she may be pulling down a bit on the collar giving the illusion of not blending as well into wither. Her shoulder assembly is very correct when viewed from the side. The foreleg placed appropriately under the wither, with adequate extension of chest and brisket. She has nice depth at the heart girth. Very long body with a strong and straight back. The rump could be a bit longer from hip to pin, but she shows correct shape to the rump. From the front the only thing I'd like to see is the shoulder a bit wider at the top and the lower foreleg, from the knee down just a bit straighter. This doe has one of the best escutcheons in the group showing lots of width at the top, free of excess tissue and the thighs curve outward. She is very correct in the rear legs when viewed from the rear being perpendicular from pin, hock and fetlock. She does turn out slightly on the lower left foot. She has very correct hoof shape and pastern length. She has exceptional rear leg angulation from the side and if her rump were a bit longer from hip to pin, the hock would be able to be placed more appropriately under the pin. When looking over the top she shows very correct body shape, with full fore ribs and a nice spring to her barrel. From this view again it is clear to see the rump is just a little short from hip to pin. Really solid doe and when selecting a buck I think the focus should be on rumps.

Evaluator comments: Another very balanced doe. She has a long lean neck, with a very strong head, with a nice wide muzzle and deep jaw. I really appreciate the body capacity on this doe. She is wide and deep in the chest, and carries that depth back into her flank. Very correct canon bones both fore and rear. She shows an exceptional balance of bone pattern throughout. Her shoulder assembly is very correct in width from the front view and shoulder angle from the side. Foreleg is placed correctly under the wither with sufficient extension of brisket. From the rear view she shows a very correct escutcheon that is nicely arch shaped, and she has clean thighs that curve outward. Very correct rear leg angulation from the side with correct feet and pasterns. Very correct length of rump and shape to the rump from over the top. Very nice shape to her forerib and width to the loin. Really powerful correct doe, would probably just focus on maintaining her good qualities. In selection of a buck, stature and rump quality would be my focus.

Evaluator comments: Very nice side profile on this doe. She is very smoothly blended throughout. She has a nice balance of length of neck, back and rump. Her neck blends nicely into the withers. She is very strong and straight in the back and has a very correct length of rump from hip to pin. However I would like to see the rump more balanced in the width at the hip and the width at the thurls. While she is very correct in the shoulder assembly when viewed from the front, I would like to see the shoulder with a bit more angle from the side and more extension of the brisket. She does have nice depth at the point of elbow and carries the correct shape to her barrel back into the flank. Very correct balance of length to the canon bones both fore and rear and very correct feet and legs. Very promising teat placement. Very correct width between the hocks, however I would like to see the top of the escutcheon more arch shaped. It is noticeable when looking over the top to see the shape of the escutcheon is more V shaped at the top. She is very correct in the rear leg rear view. Over the top she has a nice spring to the rib, however a bit narrow in the fore rib and from the over the top view it shows how the hip is not as wide as the thurls. For buck selection I’d be looking for stature, dairy strength and rump structure.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a very correct front end assembly, both from the front, being balanced in width from top to bottom and from the side, having a very correct angle to the shoulder blade. Very nice depth and width of chest floor on this doe, as well as from the side she has nice depth at the point of elbow. Her neck is a bit short but is set correctly on the shoulder and blends correctly into the wither. I feel the reason she is so downhill to the front end is due to the forearm and canon of the foreleg being short compared to the length of the femur and canon of the rear leg. Also the pastern of the rear leg is a bit long. The fore pastern is not as bad, however they are not ideal. She is a bit shallow in the heel and splayed in the toe. From the rear view she shows a correct escutcheon with lots of width . She shows a nice flat bone in the leg with clean thighs. Over the top I would like to see the rump wider at the hip to match the width of the thurls and also like to see her longer from hip to pin. She does have a nice shape to the fore rib, which is expected based on her correct shoulder assembly. For buck selection, really focus on a buck who is proven to throw stature, long bone pattern and strong feet and pasterns.
