Evaluator comments: Very nice back and rump on this doe, also very correct blending of neck into the wither, however I would like to see the neck just a bit longer. Nice sculpting around the eye and strong head, however would like the ear a little longer. She has a very nice length of body, however would like to see her deeper in the heart and wider in the chest. Rear legs are correctly angeled from the side and wide apart from the rear. She turns out just slightly below the hock on the rear legs. The rear leg canon bone is appropriate length, however the fore canon is too short. She has substantial bone and the feet and pasterns are very strong. Fore legs front view she also toes out just a bit below the fetlock. From the rear the escutcheon is open with clean outcurving thighs. I would like to see just a bit more arch at the top of the escutcheon. Over the top she is smoothly blended, however would like to see her with a bit more width to the shoulder assembly and loin. Her rump is nicely balanced in width and length. I'd be looking to add body shape, dairy strength and correct legs.

Evaluator comments: This doe kid has a nice length of neck and blending of neck into withers. She has a strong straight back in the chine and loin, however would like the rump to be longer from hip to pin. Also the rump is quite narrow at the pins and is prominent at the dorsal process. Her front end assembly is quite narrow at the top of the shoulder and she also lacks depth and width into the chest floor and heart girth. The shoulder is a bit steep when viewed from the side and the foreleg is not placed appropriately under the wither. The foreleg is not balanced, having a short canon bone and she is a bit rough in the knee when viewed from the side. The rear leg is nicely balanced and well angulated from the side. Length of pastern is correct although the rear pastern from the rear bows out a bit. Her escutcheon is very V shaped at the top and the teat placement is quite wide. Over the top she is quite narrow all the way throughout and the rump is short from hip to pin. This doe lacks bone, and body capacity so I would definitely use a buck proven to throw substance of bone, body capacity, especially front end assemblies and rump qualities.

Evaluator comments: There are some times when animals are not suitable for breeding, whether due to management or genetics. Her ear shape, and rear leg angles from the side are good. However, her shoulder blade angle is extremely upright, and she appears over at the knee, which could lead to lameness problems over time. She does appear to have some swelling in the knees in these photos. She is short in length of body and hip. Coccidia management and adequate mineral supplementation is so important in allowing animals to reach their genetic potential. I’m sorry however I don't feel this animal is suitable for breeding.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a very correct ear shape for 2nd gen. She has a very correct front end assembly from the side and front, with the placement of the foreleg under the wither. The neck is long and lean and she appears to have soft lustrous hair and fine skin indicating dairy strength. She has a nice strong straight back and decent length of rump however would like to see the rump more level from thurl to thurl. The forelegs are nicely balanced, however I would like to see the rear canon longer. Which would allow her to have a more correct rear leg angulation. From the rear she shows nice flat bone legs and open and clean thighs. The escutcheon is open, however I would like to see the top of the escutcheon more arch shaped. Over the top she shows a nice balance of width from her chest to hips, with adequate spring of rib and correct shape to the barrel. Focus on selecting a buck proven to throw correct rumps and rear legs.

Evaluator comments: This doe is very balanced and correct from the side profile. Really nice head and ear. The neck blends nicely into the wither and the shoulder is smooth and appropriately angled. The foreleg is placed correctly under the wither. The foreleg is very straight and correct, however I would like to see the fore canon longer which would make her stature a bit more correct. She has a very strong and straight back. The rump is a bit short from hip to pin, although her rear leg is correctly balanced. The pasterns are correct in length and the hoof shape is correct. Her front end assembly is very correct from the front view as well with nice width and strength to the chest. From the rear she shows nice shape to the escutcheon, and width between the hocks. She has nice substance to bone yet flat and clean in the thigh. Over the top I’d like to see her hip wider from thurl to thurl and the rump longer from hip to pin. She does have great shape to the fore ribs and great spring of rib. This doe has lots of power and correct front end, so using a buck with strong rumps and dairy strength would be best.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a correct balance to her bone pattern throughout. She has a nice sharp wither with correct stature. The side profile picture is at a bit of an angle so it's hard to tell, however i think her shoulder blade is a bit vertical. She has very correct rear leg angulation and very correct length of rump. The rump is also very correct in levelness from thurl to thurl and balance of width to the rump. From the front her front end is very correct in width and balance. The forelegs appear a little far forward, however it may be the angle of the photo. From the front the forelegs are placed well apart, she could be slightly straighter in the pastern when viewed from the front. The rear legs are correctly perpendicular and well apart. She does appear to be slightly close in at the hock, however the placement of the rear hoof is correct, so when she freshens the udder will correct that closeness. Her escutcheon is very narrow at the top, lacking that arch shape. She is a very balanced doe, so I would focus heavily on udders.

Evaluator comments: Really admire the head and ear on this doe for 1st generation. She has a nice lean neck, blending well into a sharp wither. She has a nice strong and long back, with adequate length to the rump. The rear legs are well angled from the side, and well balanced, however the foreleg canon needs to be longer. Not sure if it's all the photo, however she appears a bit over at the knee. The shoulder blade is also very vertical. She does have a nice length of body, however she is very shallow in the heart girth. That lack of depth is also apparent in the front view where she has adequate width between the forelegs but lacks the depth to the chest floor. She is very correct in the front view with the balance of the shoulder from top to bottom. Over the top however she is very narrow and pinched in the forerib, with the shoulder much narrower than the hip. She shows nice width to the loin however over the top and correct balance to the rump width. She appears to have an adequately open escutcheon, with correct out curving thighs. You will really want to focus on correct front ends and dairy strength with this doe.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a correct face and ear shape, however would like to see the ear longer and the lower jaw to be deeper, with a more open nostril. Her neck is a little short, however it is set into the shoulder correctly. She is very straight in the back and has a balanced length of rump from hip to pins. The rear legs are correctly balanced in side profile, however would like to see the rear leg more perpendicular from the rear view. The foreleg is correctly placed under the wither however I would like to see the foreleg canon longer and would like her to be a bit cleaner and straighter in the knee. This doe is really lacking in depth at the heart girth and width and depth of the chest floor. Over the top photo shows her lack of fore rib shape and she is more narrow at the hip than the thurls and the rump is really short from hips to pins. She does appear to have adequate levelness to the rump from thurl to thurl. The escutcheon could be more arch shaped. This doe needs substance of bone and correct feet and legs when looking at bucks.

Evaluator comments: Nice head and ear on this doe. She also has a long lean neck. She has correct stature with the withers higher than the hip, and the neck blends smoothly into the withers. She has a nice straight back, however the rump could be longer from hip to pins. Really hard to evaluate the rear leg angle from the side, based on the side profile photo, but the leg bones are balanced. The forelegs are also hard to evaluate, as they look over at the knee, however it could be the photo. The foreleg canon bone could be longer. She has correct pasterns and hoof shape. Shoulder assembly is nicely balanced from the front view, however I would like to see the chest floor deeper. Also in side profile she is lacking depth in the heart girth and the foreleg is placed too far forward of the wither. Rear legs rear view are nice and perpendicular, and the escutcheon is open, however would like to see just a bit more width at the top. Over the top view she shows nice shape to the fore ribs and width to the loin, would just like to see the rump longer from hip to pins and more level from thurl to thurl. In selection of a buck look for strong front end assemblies and correct rumps.

Evaluator comments: I Would like to see the head a lot more correct with much more shape to the face and much deeper and wider in the muzzle with more open nostrils. Also would like to see a longer more “bell” shaped ear with less control. When looking at the front view picture she is very shallow in the chest floor, and you can see the shallow lower jaw also. She does have nice length to the neck and it blends smoothly into the wither and shoulder assembly. The shoulder could have more angle from the side and she could have more depth into the heart girth. The forelegs are nice and straight, however they are placed too far forward and the canon bone is too short. The rear legs are nicely angulated from the side, placed well apart and perpendicular from the rear view. She shows a nice length of body, however lacks feminine shape to the barrel. Her back is strong and straight, however the rump is too short from hips to pins and I would like to see the thurls higher and more level. Over the top you can see that the hip is more narrow than the shoulder. Also looking at the rear view the lack of dairy strength can be seen in the “roundness” of the lower leg bone and the “meaty” tissue in the escutcheon area. Overall this doe lacks a lot of Dairy traits, so I would definitely use a buck with lots of dairy strength, and correct front ends.

Evaluator comments: This doe has very nice body capacity and a very correct front end assembly from all angles. I would like to see the neck a bit longer and blend a bit more smoothly into the withers. Really appreciate the depth of heart girth and spring of ribs. She has a very strong and straight back. The rump is very close to correct in length from hip to pin, and she has a nice balance to the rump shape over the top. The forelegs are strong and straight, however I would like the canon bone to be a bit longer. The rear leg is a bit straight in side profile, and I would like to see the rear pastern much stronger. Rear legs rear view, show that she is a bit turned in at the hocks. The escutcheon is clean and open, however I would like to see it more arch shaped at the top. She has a wonderful body shape when viewed over the top with full fore ribs and wedge shape to her barrel. Overall a very powerful balanced doe, when looking at bucks, look for strong feet and legs, rear leg angulation.

Evaluator comments: Really appreciate the side profile on this doe. She is very correct throughout. Nice long neck that blends smoothly into the wither and the shoulder. The shoulder has almost an ideal angle, with very correct placement of the foreleg under the wither and extension of brisket. Outstanding body capacity on this doe, being deep at the heart girth and carrying that dept back into the flank. I think she may be stretching out against the collar causing the rear legs to look too far back, however I don’t think they are. The rear legs are well balanced and the rump has nice length as well. The foreleg is also nicely balanced with an ideal length of canon bone. The fore pasterns are slightly longer than I would like, however the rear pasterns seem strong. She is very correct from the front and not sure if it's due to standing on the rocks, however would like the toes a bit tighter. Rear legs rear view are nice and perpendicular, however would like to see the bone a little flatter and would like to see the escutcheon more open and arch shaped with less “meaty” tissue in the escutcheon and on the thighs. While the rump has nice length, the hip is more narrow than the thurls and the shoulder. Over the top she has nice shape to the fore rib
and nice spring of rib to the barrel. This doe is very strong in many areas, so would probably focus on a buck with good udders and dairy strength.

Evaluator comments: Very correct side profile on this little doe. Very nice head and ear on her. Correct length of neck and the neck blends smoothly into the wither and shoulder. Her front end assembly is exceptional. Correct placement of the foreleg under the wither, nearly ideal shoulder angle and extension of brisket. From the front view the shoulder assembly is very balanced from top to bottom, and she has very correct depth and width to the chest floor and depth of heart girth. She has really exceptional front legs, being very straight both from the front and the side as well as the balance in the length of the canon bones both fore and rear. Very nice length of pastern and very correct hoof shape. Her back is very strong and straight, however I would like the rump to be a bit longer and that would help to put the hock more appropriately under the pin. Rear legs rear view would like to see the legs, more perpendicular with the pins, and less tendency to turn in at the hocks. She has a very correct escutcheon and is wide and open in the thighs. Over the top she has the correct fore rib shape and nice spring of rib and width to the loin, however again I would like to see the rump a little longer from hip to pin. Really strong doe overall, so would probably focus on rumps, dairy strengths and udders.

Evaluator comments: This doe has a nice shape to the ear, however would like to see more sculpting around the eyes and more depth to the lower jaw. I would also be sure to confirm she does not have an overbite as it is hard to tell in the pictures. These pictures make evaluation a little difficult because she is really “splayed out”. I’d like to see the neck a bit longer and leaner, however it does blend in smoothly to the wither and shoulder. The shoulder blade does appear to have adequate angle and I’m thinking the foreleg would be placed more under the wither if she was standing more naturally. While she has adequate length of barrel, she lacks depth in the heart girth and lacks femininity in the body shape. She could be straighter in the back and the rump is very short and steep. Again, the rear legs are placed awkwardly so it's hard to evaluate if they are correctly angled. The canon bones both fore and rear are short and the bone in the legs shows “roundness” lacking dairy strength. Rear view shows a very low escutcheon that is extremely “meaty” and the thighs are not clean and open. Over the top she shows nice shape to the fore ribs, yet lacks the spring to the ribs of the barrel. Her rump is balanced in width of hips to thurls,
however the rump needs to be much longer and more level from thurl to thurl. This doe really lacks dairy strength traits, so I would definitely look to breed to bucks who are dairy, with exceptional heads and rumps.
