This Mini-Nubian doe is very balanced and symmetrical with substantial angularity. In body capacity she shows excellent length and depth increasing back in to the flank. Her long, lean neck blends smoothly into that front end assembly. Her upright head carriage flows to her upstanding appearance with a very correct topline, adding to her score in general appearance as well. In breed character she has a nice shape to the ear and the set to the ear could have more drop to increase that score. In mammary she has desirable extension of the fore udder and ample attachment in the rear. The udder is well balanced and delineated. For improvement I would add fullness through the crops and some greater arch in the escutcheon. In legs and feet she would improve with stronger, straighter front legs and more well angulated stifles.

Evaluator comments:
This doe is showing excellent dairy character with the length of neck and body as well as depth, coupled with a well balanced mammary with good area of attachment and extension of fore udder. Her angularity is very correct from all views as well. In capacity she scores well. Her width is very balanced to her size and she is showing excellent smoothness of blending and fullness in the crops with good spring of rib and increasing width through the hips. Her breed character is very good with her roman nose and bell-shaped ears. For improvement she would benefit from a neck more smoothly blended into the shoulder.

This doe shows desirable length of body and excellent depth increasing to the flank, giving her substantial body capacity in proportion to her size. In general appearance, she would benefit from greater levelness over the loin and more upstanding at the withers. As we view her over the top, she shows good width in the chest and over shoulders blending into well sprung ribs, but not quite the increasing width through the hips to finish out that angularity in the top view. She has excellent breed character about the head. In feet and legs I would like to see her elbows held in more closely to the body proper. In mammary she has excellent capacity and would benefit from more area of attachment front and rear by being higher and wider through the escutcheon and more correct teat size. In legs and feet we would improve the angulation at the stifle and have her legs set more perpendicular from hock to pastern.

This is a dry doe that is showing limited views, but is very balanced overall, with nice length and a strong topline. We would improve her body capacity by giving her greater proportionate depth at point of elbow and greater levelness from thurl to thurl and with more width in the escutcheon. She is long and lean and has very good length and set to her ears for the breed. I do not see quite the convex nose to score higher in breed character. Overall, this doe is showing a lot of strength in dairy character.
Owner comments: This doe is a dry, never been bred, three year old.
Owner comments: about 4 months fresh into first lactation for bulk of pics. Close udder pictures were a few weeks fresh.

Evaluator comments:
This doe is showing excellent strength in the topline and a very desirable mammary system. The mammary is shown in different periods of lactation and is nearly ideal in attachment as we view her at maximum capacity. Her width through the escutcheon allows for that greater area of attachment in the rear. I would like to see more width in the chest floor as well as more fullness through the crop area to add balance and body capacity. In breed character we would add some length and drop to the ear. In dairy character she is showing desirable angularity from the side with her upstanding appearance and sharpness at the withers followed by increasing depth of barrel. Her angularity at the rear and incurving thigh give her strength in this area as well.

Evaluator comments:
This Mini-Nubian doe excels in dairy character. She is a very angular doe as we view her from the side, top, front and rear. She is very correct in feet and legs and this allows her to maintain her upstanding appearance. In general appearance, she is a very balanced doe, with her upright head carriage and long, lean neck balanced and blending well to her long, deep body. In mammary she shows excellent capacity in her well balanced udder with good teat size and placement. The udder is well attached fore and rear. In breed character she has the roman nose and bell-shaped ears with adequate length. For improvement we would add fullness through the crops and strengthen the pasterns.

The Mini La Mancha here is very sharp, showing excellent angularity and standing on strong feet and legs. Her hocks could be more perpendicular to the pastern, but the incurving thigh and long lean neck certainly add to the dairy character here. In mammary I would like to see smoother blending with less pocket in the fore udder. Capacity is good. Teat size and placement are very good as is her breed character with her level profile. She has excellent length of body and proportionate width, giving her excellent balance to her general appearance. A very strong contender in the group.

Evaluator comments:
A very feminine Mini-Nubian doe here showing nice length of ear and convex nose for very nice breed character about the head. She is a very refined and does not have quite the substance and strength of leg typical of the breed. This doe is showing increasing depth of body but is lacking in width in the chest floor and depth in the heart girth. We have one view of her mammary at capacity showing adequate area of attachment in the rear and being very balanced and well defined. She would benefit from greater levelness over the loin and more upstanding in that front end assembly as well as greater angularity over the top.
Owner comments: Was a little "gassy"; day of pictures. Not pregnant, dam raising kid at the time.

Evaluator comments:
This Mini-La Mancha doe is showing good breed character and general appearance, particularly in a side view where her brisket development and depth in the heart girth increase in depth to the flank. She is showing angularity over the top, being full through the crops, with good spring of rib as she increases in width through barrel. Her strength in width continues from hips to pins as well as angularity and dairy character in the rear view in the openness of the escutcheon and width between the hocks. In mammary, she is showing good fore udder extension held close to the barrel with good capacity. More length to the rump and angulation at the stifle would balance this doe even more.
